By using auBrokers.com, you agree to the terms set out on this page. We've tried to keep things clear and readable, but these are still the rules that apply when you visit the site, read our content or leave a review. If you don't agree with any of it, the best course of action is to stop using the site.
auBrokers.com is operated by:
We're a small, independent team. We're not a financial institution, we're not regulated by ASIC (the Australian Securities and Investments Commission) and we don't hold an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL). We run a content website, not a brokerage.
auBrokers.com publishes broker comparisons, reviews and educational content aimed at Australian traders and investors. We spend time researching brokers, testing their platforms and putting together the kind of information we wish we'd had when we first started out.
But here's the thing. Everything on this site is for informational purposes only. We're sharing what we've found, not telling you what to do with your money. None of our content should be taken as financial advice, investment advice or a personal recommendation to open an account with any particular broker.
This one's important, so we want to be really clear about it.
We are not licensed financial advisers, brokers or dealers. We don't know your financial situation, your goals or your risk tolerance. Nothing on this website should be interpreted as:
If you're thinking about trading CFDs (contracts for difference), forex, shares or any other financial product, do your own homework first. Consider speaking to a qualified, licensed financial adviser who can look at your individual circumstances.
Trading leveraged products like CFDs and forex carries a high level of risk. You can lose more than your initial deposit. These products are not suitable for everyone, and the majority of retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs. That's not us trying to scare you. That's just the reality of how these products work.
We put genuine effort into keeping our broker data, fee tables and ratings accurate. We regularly check and update the information on the site, and when something changes, we try to reflect that as quickly as we can.
That said, brokers update their terms, adjust their fees and change their product offerings all the time. Sometimes without much notice. We can't guarantee that every single detail on the site is 100% current at the exact moment you're reading it.
Before you open an account with any broker, always verify the key details directly on the broker's own website. Check their fee schedule, read their Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) and make sure you understand what you're signing up for.
Let's be upfront about this. Some of the links on auBrokers.com are affiliate links. That means if you click through and open an account with a broker, we may receive a commission. This doesn't cost you anything extra.
Affiliate income is what keeps this site running. It's how we pay for hosting, research time and the coffee that fuels the late nights spent testing trading platforms.
But here's what matters: affiliate partnerships have zero influence on our reviews, ratings or how we rank brokers. If a broker pays us a commission but their platform is average, we'll say so. Our editorial process is independent, and that's not something we're willing to compromise on.
We encourage readers to leave comments and broker reviews. Real user experiences are valuable, and they help other people make better decisions. But there are a few ground rules.
By submitting a comment or review, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that content on auBrokers.com for as long as we choose to keep it published. You still own what you wrote, but you're giving us permission to show it.
All original content on auBrokers.com, including written articles, reviews, graphics, logos and the overall site design, is our property or used under licence. You're welcome to read it, share links to it and quote short excerpts with proper attribution. But you can't copy, reproduce, distribute or republish our content without written permission.
Broker logos, trademarks and brand names that appear on the site belong to their respective owners. We use them for identification and review purposes only.
We link to broker websites, trading platforms and other third-party services throughout the site. That's kind of the whole point of a comparison site.
Once you click through to an external site, you're on their turf. We have no control over their content, their practices or how they handle your data. We're not responsible for anything that happens once you leave auBrokers.com. Have a look at their own terms and conditions and privacy policy before you hand over any personal information or open an account.
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law:
In plain English: we share information and opinions, but you make your own decisions. If something goes wrong with a broker or a trade, that's between you and the broker.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010). We respect your consumer rights and don't intend to override any protections you're entitled to.
We do our best to keep auBrokers.com up and running around the clock. But we're a small operation, and things happen. Servers go down, maintenance needs doing, and occasionally something breaks.
We don't guarantee uninterrupted access to the site. We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of it at any time, with or without notice. If we do take the site down for planned maintenance, we'll try to give you a heads up where possible.
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. If a dispute arises that we can't resolve between us, it will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Australian courts.
We'd always prefer to sort things out directly, though. If something's bothering you, drop us an email before heading to the courthouse.
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We won't send out individual notifications for every minor tweak, so it's worth checking back occasionally.
If you continue using the site after changes have been published, that counts as accepting the updated terms.
Got questions about these terms, or something that doesn't sit right? We'd genuinely like to hear from you.
